Allegheny County is moving to the green phase of reopening this Friday. While this is good news for many people and businesses, green does not indicate a complete return to normal. Our clinic will be maintaining many restrictions suggested by the state and federal health officials in a continued effort to protect clients and staff. Here is what you can expect:
Automobile-based check-in will continue. Please call us when you arrive so we know you are waiting. Alternatively you can contact our Triage Team through the Medici app by text message.
All clients must continue to wear masks. This refers to everyone in the car at the time of check-in. Masks must be properly affixed, covering the nose and mouth.
We ask that whenever possible, animals be placed in the back seat of the vehicle so staff can access them without assistance. Continued social distancing is in everyone’s best interest, and we request you refrain from approaching the staff more than is necessary. (We understand this won’t work in every situation, with every animal.)
All animals must be restrained. This means leashes on dogs, and cats in carriers.
For the time being, the building will remain client-free. This is for the continued protection of you and our staff. (The exception to this rule is for euthanasia, for which we will allow two people per family. Masks must be worn at all times in the building.)
We will begin performing routine surgeries (spays and neuters) within the next 1-2 weeks. Please contact us for details and to schedule an appointment. We will be working through the waiting list in order and will be contacting clients already on the list very soon.
If you have any questions about these updated policies and procedures, please don’t hesitate to call, email, or reach out to us on social media. We will be glad to discuss any of them with you.
Thank you so much for your continued business, patience, and compliance during these times. We look forward to continuing to care for your pets in the safest way possible.
